A study carried out by the European Commission concluded that the use of electronic invoices provided potential corporate savings of more than 200 billion Euros.
The University of Frankfurt (Universität Frankfurt) identified cost savings of approximately 16 Euros for invoice senders and of up to 22 Euros for invoice recipients. The inclusion of further documents (for example orders, delivery notices, etc.) in the electronic process allows for higher savings.
